Plans, Elevations and Profiles of the Temple & Palaces of Solomon and that of Pharaoh's daughter with all their dependencies.
Paris, circa 1757. Black and white. Oblong folio, 23 engravings on 14 leaves. Collection of plates on strong paper, bound together by a pink silk ribbon. Slight foxing.
The collection originally contains 25 engravings and our collection is incomplete with engravings 18 and 19.
Rare collection of engravings representing the Temple of Solomon after Mallet, Consul in Smyrna, engraved by Sebastien Leclerc and published in Paris by Charles-Antoine Jombert. Titled in pen and inscribed on a small sheet of paper at the head of the collection: "Temple of Solomon/Palace of Solomon/Palace of Pharaoh's daughter".
