Célebre manual de iniciação musical pelo músico, compositor e musicólogo açoriano-brasileiro Raphael Coelho Machado (1814 — 1887). A 1.ª edição desta obra foi publicada em 1845.
Bom estado geral de conservação. Capas de brochura amarelecidas e com manchas de acidez. Carimbo da Casa Oliveira (Rio) na capa de brochura anterior. Assinatura de posse na folha de rosto. Pico único do bico trespassando o volume na sua totalidade, sem afectar a leitura.
