SAYED HAIDER RAZA INDIAN ABSTRACT PAINTING W COA
Acrylic on canvas painting by Sayed Haider Raza, or S.H. Raza, 1922 to 2016, an Indian artist based in France, member of the Bombay Progressive Artists Group. The artwork depicts an abstract expressionist composition with red and yellow dominating colors. Signed in the lower right. Inscribed on the back side. Completed with a certificate of authenticity, signed by the artist. Syed Raza is known for Abstract, highly colored painting, landscape, circle shapes, symbolism. Syed Haider Raza Alais S.H. Raza is an eminent Indian artist who has lived and worked in France since 1950, but maintains strong ties with India. His works are mainly abstracts in oil or acrylic, with a very rich use of color, replete with icons from Indian cosmology as well as its philosophy. He was awarded the Padma Shri and Fellowship of the Lalit Kala Akademi in 1981 and Padma Bhushan in 2007. He became Indias priciest modern artist on June 10, 2010.
