FRENCH BRONZE SCULPTURE BY ETIENNE HENRI DUMAIGE
Etienne Henri Dumaige, French, 1830 to 1888, patinated bronze sculpture, Tambourine Dancers. Mounted on a round shaped base with figural accents. Signed with casting, H. Dumaige, on the base. Henry Etienne Dumaige, a leading French sculptor active during the latter decades of the 19th Century. Dumaige exhibited at the Paris Salon several times throughout his life, and his pieces were included to great success in the Exposition Universelle of 1880.
