EGYPTIAN SANDSTONE RELIEF DEPICTING TWO MALE FIGURES
New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, Ca. 1356 - 1336 BC. A sandstone relief showing two figures facing left. The features are well defined, with long Nemes covering the forehead and the neck; the faces are elongated with plump lips surmounted by a long and straight nose and almond-shaped eyes. Very clear traces of original painting. For similar see: La Bellezza femminile nell'antico Egitto, p. 100. Size: 235mm x 170mm; Weight: 2.82kg Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex.
