Rabbinate Controversy of Chust. Letter from Rabbi Yaakov Hacohen Friedman of Chust. 1935
A very touching letter in which he laments the terrible machlokes in his town of Chust over the Rabbonus, and the persecution and suffering he endures as a result of that.
Rabbi Yaakov Hacohen Friedman was the son of Rabbi Shmuel David Friedman and succeeded his father as the dayan of Hust. He was murdered by the Nazis in 1944.
