A printed poster - "A Call from Zion" to support the Sfat Emet Yeshiva, Jerusalem branch. Warsaw, Alter Printing Press, 1920s-1930s. Hebrew and Yiddish.
The poster includes letters from prominent rabbis in the Land of Israel - Rabbi Yosef Zonnenfeld, Rabbi Shaul Moshe Zilberman, Rabbi A.Y. HaCohen Kook, Rabbi Eliyahu Klatzkin of Lublin, the Admor Rabbi Yitzchak Zelig of Kotzk-Sokolov, Rabbi Tzvi Pesach Frank, Rabbi Y.M. Charlap, Rabbi M.Z. Margaliot of New York, Rabbi Moshe Kliers, and Rabbi Yerucham Fishel Bernstein.
Posters from Europe in general, and from Poland in particular, are especially rare. This is due to the fact that posters were intended for hanging and not for preservation, and even the few that were preserved for various reasons were destroyed during the burning of Polish Jewry in the ovens of Auschwitz, הי"ד.
