Collection of Responsa Books by the Torah Giant, the Gaon of Rogatchov, First Editions. Handwritten Glosses

  • "Tzafnat Pa’aneach" Responsa, Part One. Warsaw, 5695 (1935). 64 leaves. A handwritten gloss.
  • "Tzafnat Pa’aneach" Responsa, Part Two. Warsaw, 5696 (1936). [3], 68-128 leaves. Two scholarly handwritten glosses.
  • "Tzafnat Pa’aneach" Responsa, Part One (different content from the previous volumes). Dvinsk, 5700 (1940). [1], 50 leaves. The book’s publication was prompted by the yahrzeit of the responding Gaon, 11 Adar I. The first responsa deal with the halachic status of civil marriages!
  • "Shalmat Yosef" Responsa, answers given by the author to Rabbi Shlomo Sobel. Jerusalem, 5705 (1945). [1], 37, [1] leaves.

Condition varies. The first three volumes are in overall good condition, the last volume in fair condition - most pages detached. Delicate paper. Stains. Original bindings; the bindings of the first two books are partially detached, the binding of the third book is in very good condition, and the fourth is unbound.
