Macchiavelli (1693 - 1766), in this work reconstructs the history of the silver bolognino, describing "various ancient coins, which never had existence, taking advantage of the occasion to exalt illustrious ancestors who really existed, such as the blessed Alessandro Macchiavelli, Dominican and reader of theology, who died in 1441, or others that did not exist or are historically less consistent.
