Hewitt R. Jackson (1914-2007) Oil on Canvas Clipper Ship, signed lower right. Measures 24"x20"x1". Weight 1 lb 7 oz. Known for his accurate ship drawings and paintings, down to the last detail, Hewitt Jackson was born in the Kirkland, Washington area in 1914. He sailed the seven seas and during his "wander" years, met prominent artists and authors including John Steinbeck and Norman Rockwell.
