We are proud to host the estate sale of WWI & WWII militaria, along with sporting memorabilia, in respect of the late John Batten.
John was a very popular and well known collector of militaria. The sale includes rare and unique items, largely from The Third Reich, as well as uniform, weaponry, artwork, posters, postcards and a library of reference books from WWI & WWII, in respect of Allied, German & Japanese forces.
This will be an exceptional sale, with the opportunity to own unique relics, including Adolf Hitler's Chancellery door handles, personal dinnerware and more, along with a rare piece of SS Allach porcelain and many other individual & fascinating pieces.
The sporting memorabilia collection includes several personal letters and autographed photographs from largely USA & British Boxing World Champions, from the early-mid 1900's, along with a host of literature and other interesting items.

A hand-noted thank-you/framed photograph from Albert Duke of Schleswig-Holstein. Albert, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein (Albert John Charles Frederick Alfred George; 26/02/1869–27/04/1931), was a grandson of Queen Victoria. He was the second son of Victoria's daughter Princess Helena by her husband Prince Christian of Schleswig-Holstein. Prince Albert was the head of the House of Oldenburg, and also the House of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Augustenburg and the fourth Duke of Schleswig-Holstein between 1921 and 1931. Albert served with the Prussian Army. He was commissioned Lieutenant into the 1st Hessian Dragoon Guards eventually reaching the rank of lieutenant colonel in the 3rd Uhlans of the Guard. During World War I he was excused from service against the British by the German Emperor, spending the war in Berlin on the staff of the Governor of the city.
