A QING CHINESE WHITE CARVED-JADE DAGGER CROSSGUARD, 19TH CENTURY
White jade-carved crossguard for a dagger possibly from the Qing dynasty. The carved design is similar to decorative depictions of a taotie-type mask.
China, 19th Century.
Together: 2 3/4 in., (7 cm.)
Condition: The crossguard is in fine condition with signs of expected age. Rust remnants of the dagger hilt reside inside the bore of the guard. See photos for reference.
