A WW2 GERMAN NCO SWORD WITH SCABBARD BY EICKHORN
German WW2 non-commissioned officer's sword by Carl Eickhorn Solingen, with a sign-edged curved blade with a wide fuller throughout its entire length. Gilt-bronze knuckle guard, hilt and pommel with cast relief. A horn fluted handle with gold braided wire, complete with a lacquered black metal scabbard. Etched at the ricasso "Original Eickhorn Solingen" with the maker's logo: a squirrel holding a sword.
L: 39 in., (89.5 cm.)
Condition: The blade is excellent, all parts are tight, gilt grip partially lost finish.
