AN UNUSUAL INDO-PERSIAN PESH-KABZ DAGGER WITH A CARVED HILT, 18TH-19TH CC.
A rare Indo-Persian dagger with a khanjar-style hilt of green jade, finely carved in the shape of a horse's head, including an uncommon knuckle-bow, affixed to a finely crafted pesh-kabz style blade with beautiful floral koftgari-work at its base. This joining of two different styles of dagger is very rare, and this example is set further apart by its fine craftsmanship.
Indo-Persia, 18th-19th century.
