AN ORNATELY CARVED ROCK-CRYSTAL HILTED INDO-PERSIAN DAGGER, 19TH CEN.
An Indo-Persian dagger with its blade intricately carved with scenes of a menagerie of animals fighting each other, the base of each side being carved with a gilt flower. The hilt of the dagger is of transparent rock crystal carved in the shape of a horse's head, with details of its hair, eyes, and snout.

Condition: Blade is lightly pitted but the gold inlay and etched design are well preserved. The carved hilt does not show any chips but has a few cracks. No restoration or repair of any kind.
