Label Artist: MARCEL VERTÈS (1896 – 1961)
Born in Hungary, Marcel Vertès began his career as a poster artist in Vienna before moving to Paris in 1925. There he devoted himself to lithography and the illustration of numerous books. His taste for intimate scenes is happily expressed in the bucolic charm of his drawing for the label of Mouton Rothschild 1951.

Provenance: Private wine cellar from a Villa in the South of France. (preserved in the cellar with regulated hydrometry and temperature)
