SENNETT MACK: (1880-1960) Canadian-American film director, producer, actor and studio head, known as the 'King of Comedy'. T.L.S., Mack, one page, 4to, Hollywood, California, 6th February 1941, to John Considine at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios. Sennett writes 'I understand you have a story of mine which I submitted to the MGM Studios some time ago, and which I hope you will like, if so, I am sure you would do a swell job of producing it' and continues to add that he would like to have a little chat when convenient 'as I have a number of other story properties, also Molly-O which, by the way, should be in the cycle, owing to the great success of Kitty Foyle'. Molly O was an American silent comedy film written and produced by Sennett in 1921. It starred Mabel Normand in the title role.
