LOOS ANITA: (1888-1981) American novelist, playwright and screenwriter, remembered for her comic novel Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1925). T.L.S., Anita Loos, one page, 8vo, n.p., 26th March 1976, to Mr. Wilson. Loos responds to her correspondent's request and remarks 'I would be pleased to autograph that page from Mrs. Ehrmann's guest book' and provides her telephone number so that they can arrange an afternoon appointment, further adding 'I remember Mrs. Ehrmann's party vaguely, but am not aware of why I didn't sign the book. Most likely it was merely an oversight' and concluding 'It's interesting that you once worked for Mencken. What a man he was!'. About EX
