Wolff informs his correspondent that, at the end of 1943, at the time of his proposed promotion made by Standartenfuhrer Emil Wackerle, he submitted a number of service certificates to complete the presentation of his personal files, continuing to list the documents as '1.) Certificate of my service in the Youth Army at Darmstadt from autumn 1914 to April 1917, 2.) Testimony of my Field Regimental Commander….for 1917 and 1918, 3.) Testimony of my Commander of the Reichswehr Regiment….for 1919' and further adding that his investigations show that the documents were passed through the official channels some time ago, remarking 'I kindly ask you to investigate the whereabouts of my documents, as the unusually long wait of almost two months makes me fear that the documents may be lost'. With a typed note at the foot, and several others to the verso, each signed by different individuals, including SS-Stabsfuhrer Max Humps, relating to an investigation into the whereabouts of Wolff's papers. Also featuring a number of official stamps and annotations. Two file holes to the left edge, a few minor tears and light creasing and one small area of paper loss to the upper edge, G
