Charles Perrault, Contes (Tales), Paris: La Roseraie, (1922). Large folio edition. With original etchings by Etienne Drian (1885-1961). Limited edition, this copy numbered 116/396. 12 rich full-page etchings and five etched headpieces by Etienne Drian. This volume is enhanced by the inclusion of a story by an anonymous author, here attributed to Perrault— an ingenious risqué pastiche "Les Oeufs" ("Eggs")—written in 1912. This copy includes the original final etchings and additional etchings refused for the final edition. 42X30 cm. Very good condition, additional hard cover binding to the original book.
