AN AUTOGRAPHED PHOTOGRAPH AND A SIGNED COMMEMORATIVE POSTAL COVER BY ADMIRAL RICHARD E. BYRD (October 25, 1888 -March 11, 1957). Byrd was a Naval officer, and pioneering aviator, polar explorer, and organizer of polar logistics. He is known for having discovered Mount Sydley in Antarctica. The photograph is 9" x 6.5" and the cover is 7.2" x 3.5", housed in a modern frame 20" x 13".
