A RARE IMPERIAL TOPAZ AND DIAMOND RING
Set with an elongated cushion-cut imperial topaz weighing 16.72 carats, enhanced by the gently undulating brilliant-cut diamond border, to the plain shank, mounted in platinum, ring size 6¼
Accompanied by a report from the Gemresearch Swisslab, stating that the 16.72 carat natural imperial topaz is orange color and has no indication of treatments, report no. GRS2013-088286, dated 15th August 2013
Topaz gemstones are usually colorless and often heated or irradiated to improve appearance and deepen color. Some natural Imperial topaz, also known as precious topaz, is the rarest color of topaz -- a golden-orange to pink hue. Fine specimens come from the Ouro Preto region in Brazil
