1924
In 1904, the Barzel and Barshad Bank was founded in Safed by Ephraim Zvi Barzel and Yoel Barshad. Later, Eliyahu Klinger joined the bank, to be named after the three men. Upon the inaguration of the Anglo-Palestine Bank Safed branch in 1910, Barshad joined it and left the bank and the name became then "Barzel-Klinger".
