Two-body sculpture, possibly censer, in the shape of a rooster in Japanese porcelain, Kakiemon, Edo period, late 19th century. XVII. Decor in polychrome tones. Rooster is representing sitting, on its legs, with its head turned back, with its beak open. Wings close to the body and the long tail feathers rise above the body in partially open arches. Base with compartment, decorated in shades of green, with representation of flowers and windings in "rouge de fer" and gold. wear, minor flaws and minor defects. Am. approx.: 23 cm.
