13 French Faience Transferware Ceramic Plates
Group of 13 French creamware transfer printed faience ceramic porcelain pictorial dishes, 19th century. Includes nine plates variously impressed with "P & H Choisy" marks, one plate stamped "Lebeuf Millet & Co., " and three plates with varied marks for additional Creil, Oise, or Montereau regional manufacturers.

Provenance: From the Collection of Lynne Rossetto Kasper.

(Each) diameter: 8 1/4 in.
Condition: There are no major losses. Wear throughout including chips, light scratches along the interior consistent with use, and some crazing to the glaze. Some accretions and areas of discoloration throughout some of the plates. There is one plate with large light brown stains along the center of the plate. Some wear to the footrims.
