VTG Henninger Bier Red-Framed 3D Plastic Sign
Item SKU: C-12283
1970s vintage embossed plastic beer advertising sign in new old stock (NOS) condition, made by Poster Products, Inc. for Henninger Brewery Ltd. of Frankfurt, Germany.
This piece advertises Henninger, a German Reinheitsgebot-style beer. Reinheitsgebot refers to a 1516 Bavarian law, stating that the only ingredients that could be used in the production of beer were water, barley and hops (though it was common knowledge that yeast was also used in the process). It features a large, etching or woodblock-inspired illustration of Frankfurt (Frankfurt am Main, or Frankfurt on Main, referring to the Main River on which the city sits) set into an embossed frame with embossed lettering.
Exhibits minor signs of wear including some small scuffs/scratches.
