Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico & Guatemala, Olmec 900 BCE - 500 BCE. Scarce and extremely rare Olmec jaguar head bead. Carved in a mottled and speckled green with white stone of jaguar with open mouth and well serrated teeth. His ears at attention and with deep recessed carving to the eyes. The center of the head is drilled thru to the mouth. Size 1 1/4" L x 3/4" W
