2 original watercolors in color with “dendrite” effects, each on Bristol board, 15.8 x 24.2 cm and 15.5 x 23.5 cm, one of which has some foxing.
Signed autograph signed by George Sand’s daughter, Aurore Sand, on the back of one of the two drawings:

Beautiful «dendrites» representing one a landscape of a castle with a waterfall on a background of mountains, and the other a green landscape of lake and river on a background of mountains.
Famous for her novels, George Sand also practiced drawing and developed from 1860 the technique of «dendrite», which she also called «watercolor overwriting».
