of Emperor Alexander I, Tsarevich and Grand Duke Konstantin Pavlovich,
Prince M. B. Barclay de Tolly and Prince M. I. Golenishchev-Kutuzov,
as well as two types of Military gallery, made in the technique of heliogravure;
329 portraits (4 per sheet) of heroes of the Patriotic war of 1812-in
the technique of phototype in ornamental frames. In the publisher’s calico
cover. On the front cover with polychrome lettering: the coat of arms of the
Russian Empire and the Winter Palace with the Alexandrian column framed
by trophies and Laurel branches, the name of the publication is embossed in
gold. Composite bookends are made of paper with floral ornaments. Minor
scuffs on the binding, owner’s illustration on the spine. Engraved exlibris
of the great book of Nikolai Nikolaevich The elder on the flyleaf, pasted by
another owner.
The editor of the publication is A. A. Golombievsky, Secretary of the Imperial
Russian historical society, under the editorship of Grand Duke Nikolai
Mikhailovich (1859-1919).
