Grande prato em porcelana chinesa dita "Swatow"
Large plate in Chinese porcelain known as "Swatow", Ming dynasty, Wanli reign, 18th century. XVI. Blue decoration under glaze, inspired by maritime trade with China, with a stylized wind rose at the center, two ships sailing in undulating seas, fish and a mountainous landscape with rocks and pagodas. Rim with four reserves with cards, two with representation of birds and the other two with floral and plant motifs, separated from each other by geometric motifs topped by lotus flowers. Edge and central motif delineated by fillets. Back side decorated in blue. Faults, failures, manufacturing defects, hair, wear and tear and defects. Day. approx.: 46.5 cm.
