P. S.J. Hoffinger studies with J.B.M. Buiysens II in 1747, and learns the drawing with Michiel Van der Voort II in 1749. Between 1751 and 1753, he learns the ofèvrerie with F. J. Baudoux in Lille before going to Paris.
