Book "Devar Schmuel"
Venice, 1702 "Devar Schmuel" contains questions and answers on a variety of hallachic themes and is the main work (Magnum Opus) of Samuel Aboab.
The book contains two handwritten commentaries by Rabbi Akiva Eger (1761 Bratislava - 1837 Poznan) on page 2 (answer to question 3) and page 30a (answer to question 67), as well as several handwritten commentaries by his son Solomon Eger.
Rabbi Akiva Eger was one of the greatest Talmudic authorities of the early 19th century. He made influential hallachic decisions and was one of the greatest leaders of European Judaism of his time.
The cover of the book is more recent.
