Ипполит Подчаский был внебрачным сыном графа Л.К.Разумовского. Участник Отечественной войны 1812 года и походов 1813-1814. 1818-1820 – в Кавалергардском полку, в 1820-1828 служил в Московском архиве Коллегии иностранных дел. Был удожником-любителем.
