A PARAÌBA TOURMALINE, PINK SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND RING
Set with an oval-cut Paraìba tourmaline, enhanced by an oval-and marquise-cut diamond surround and circular-cut pink sapphire accents, to the three-sided pavé-set diamond half hoop, mounted in platinum and 18K yellow gold , paraìba tourmaline weighing approximately 3.05 carats, diamonds weighing approximately 2.55 carats in total, ring size 5¾
Accompanied by a report from the Gemological Institute of America, stating that the approximately 3.05 carat natural Paraìba tourmaline is green-blue color and clarity enhanced, report no. 3355869961, dated 8th September 2020
This copper and manganese bearing tourmaline may be called 'paraìba tourmaline' in the trade. The name 'paraìba' comes from the Brazilian locality where this gem was first mined, however today it may come from several localities
