The painting, in a round arrangement and signed "Anthony" on the lower left, has a dense network of cracks and a set of small spots in the lower left part. It is possible to notice a horizontal repainting in the part of the ground below the seated figure, which corresponds to a reinforcement of the canvas on the back. Framed, canvas and frame show the label of the framer Henry Cooke of Birmingham.
