Set with a pear-shaped fancy brown-orange diamond weighing 12.98 carats, to the plain shank, mounted in platinum, ring size 5½
Accompanied by a report from the Gemological Institute of America, stating that the 12.98 carat diamond is fancy brown-orange, natural color and VVS2 clarity, and accompanied by supplemental letter that the diamond has been determined to be Type IIa, report no. 5172347679, dated 14th October 2015
Type IIa diamonds are the most chemically pure type of diamond and often have exceptional optical transparency. Type IIa diamonds were first identified as originating from India (particularly from the Golconda region) but have since been recovered in all major diamond-producing regions of the world.
