Halichot Olam. Sabbioneta 1567. Rare.
Copy of the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Chai Mussafia with his glosses.

Sefer Halichot Olam by Rabbi Yeshu'ah Halevi, with Sefer Mevo Hagemara by Rabbi Shmuel Hanaggid.

On the title page of the book, a handwritten signature - "לה"ו הצעיר אחי"ם ס"ט" – the signature of the Gaon Rabbi Avraham Chai Mussafia. Inside the book there are short glosses by him.

The Gaon Rabbi Avraham Chai Mussafia (Otzar HaRabbanim 1056): one of the sages of Turkey and Jerusalem. The son of Rabbi Chaim Yitzchak Av Beit Din of Ispaltro, Baal HaChaim VeHaChessed. Two important customs that were adopted by Jews all over the world are known in his name: the first is the Bat Mitzvah celebration and the second, saying the prayer of Nishmat Kol Chai as a Segulah.

Rabbi Yeshu'ah Halevi (Otzar HaRabbanim 11722): one of the early Geonim of Algiers. Escaped to Spain in 1467, as he recalls in the introduction to the book, and settled in Toledo, where he authored this book, which became a fundamental book of Klalei HaShas literature, at the request of Don Vidal ben Lavi Nassi.
