Chovat HaLevavot was written in Arabic and translated into Hebrew by Rabbi Yehudah ibn Tibon. This composition is a fundamental work on ethics and the service of G-d. It has been reprinted in hundreds of editions throughout the years.



It garnered great praise from prominent Torah sages and Chassidic leaders, including the Vilna Gaon. Many adopted a practice of studying from this magnus opus daily.

This work had great influence on both the Jewish and non-Jewish ethics. It has been translated into numerous languages.

This copy includes numerous glosses that are penned by various authors, throughout the book. These writings include elucidations, corrections, completions, and changes in the wording. A number of unknown signatures appear at the front of the book.
