Unofficial commemorative medal of the 3rd Battalion of the 91st Mountain Rifle Regiment of the 4th Mountain Rifle Division. The obverse depicts the symbol of the 4th Mountain Division - the gentian flower (the unofficial name of the 4th GSD is "Enzian division"), also shows the silhouette of one of the peaks of the Main Caucasian Ridge with a height of 3002 meters, currently this peak does not have any name, and during the war there was a German position "Matterhorn". The reverse shows the names of seven passes with the dates when the third battalion passed them. The material is zinc.
Among collectors, it is better known as the "7 passes". It is the most famous and perhaps the most coveted in the collection of unofficial medals of the mountain rifle troops of the Wehrmacht.
