Our April Uncurated Estate Finds auction features art, furniture, pottery and porcelain, glass, jewelry, coins, clothing and other textiles, ethnographic items, and more. The sale includes a selection of items from the estate of Dr. Benard Dreyer. A large collection of Roseville pottery, including several Futura pieces, is among the highlights. Dr. Dreyer's collection also includes several art deco pieces, as well as a collection of estate pipes. Dr. Dreyer was the past president of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a regular guest on Sirius XM's Dr. Radio. He passed away on January 1, 2025. Dr. Dreyer was a prominent voice and force in advocating for the health and wellness care for all children, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, and a collector of beautiful objects and art. A portion of the proceeds from this auction will be donated to the department of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at NYU, and to other organizations he supported that shared his dedication to all children (especially marginalized children and families). Additionally, the sale features a selection of items from the estate of Fred Leighton, a jeweler and the owner of the Fred Leighton jewelry store on Madison Avenue in New York City. Items from the collection includea a Tiffany bow vase, Louis Vuitton luggage, alligator armchairs, and vintage Fred Leighton dresses. Rounding out the April auction is a collection of African items from the estate of Princess Maria "Mimi" Romanoff, as well a selection of hatpins, an Edison Gem phonograph, a Tiffany Studios Favrile Jack-in-the-Pulpit vase, and two paintings attributed to William Windus.

3 Piece Gilbert Onyx Clock Set
3 piece garniture set, green onyx and gilt metal, with a Gilbert mantel clock and a pair of associated 5 light candelabra. Clock with outside escapement, marked Gilbert Clock Co., Winstead Conn. USA and 16995 on the works; candelabra unsigned. Clock 19 5/8"H to top of finial, candelabrum each 17 3/4"H including snuffers. Clock with cracks and repairs to the finial, door bent near hinge, with pendulum, no key, missing hour hand, clock not running; one candelabrum with wire repair at the base of the arms and repairs at the top of the arms, minor chips to the onyx bases, wax residue throughout; all with some discoloration to gilt patina.
