HELLENISTIC ALABASTER VESSEL
Ca. 300 - 100 BC. An alabaster vessel with an inverted pear-shaped body connected to a large neck and everted rim. The foot is pedestal-shaped and the handle is decorated with a naturalistic swan head that faces backwards. Size: 250mm x 150mm; Weight: 3kg. Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired on the French market in the 1970s.This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
